1,500 Point DzC Tournament - April 4, 2015 - Mesa, AZ - Coverage Part 0

Hey, Folks.

So we've got a 1,500 point Dropzone Commander tournament underway at Empire Games in Mesa, AZ.  Here are some pictures from last night when I set up the tables.  I was expecting 9 players, and that I'd need to play as the Ringer the first round, then a friend was going to be the Ringer for rounds two and three, but one of the guys decided he'd rather be the Ringer, if needed, meaning if there was a last -minute walk-on or drop, he'd play, but everyone else who registered showed up, so we have 8 players.  I set up 5 tables last night, expecting 10 players, but I'm going to keep the 5th table set up and use it to rotate the different pairs in different rounds so hopefully no one has to play on the same table twice.

Here are the pics from last night when I set up the tables:

That's it for the pre-game show.  The first round is still underway, but two tables have finished already (with 45 minutes to go in a 2.5 hour round), so once the second round start, I'll post up pictures from the first round, and results.

Check out this link for details of the armies being played, and their army lists (scroll down until you find today's entries):
